How to install/uninstall Mobile Device Management for iOS devices with PCSM. Note: This step must be done on Windows or Mac device, not on an iPhone/iPad; this is in order to save the configuration file. Scroll down to the Apple Push Certificate section. Click on the hyperlinked.AppleCSR.csr and save the file to an accessible area. Tap the Install button in the top right corner and enter your device passcode. Then, tap Install. On the following page, tap Install in the top right corner. A popup labeled Remote Management will appear, tap on Trust. Tap on Done in the top right corner. A popup will appear titled App Management Change. Tap on Manage. Download Device Management and enjoy it on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. You can check some of your mobile phone's information live via Device Management. This app will allow IT admins to check the iphone's vital signs/info via Apple's Push Notifications.
Step 1: Open Settings on your iOS device.Step 2: Go to the section General → Profiles & Device Management, or Settings → General → Profiles.Step 3: Tap on a configuration profile you would like to remove from your iOS device. In the example below you will see the profile called Crashlytics, however to remove the Eduroam profile, it will be named Eduroam, or Clemson University.Step 4: Tap Delete Profile at the bottom of the configuration profile screen.Step 5: Enter your passcode, if required.Step 6: Confirm that you would like to remove the selected configuration profile from your device by tapping Delete. When you delete a profile, all of the settings and accounts associated with the profile are also removed.

While we have not implemented anything yet, I did research with one particular company. What you are referring to with Apple is the APNs Certificate. APNs stands for Apple Push Notification service. The APNs allows another application to securely communicate with iOS devices over the air.I was going to attach a document that was forwarded to me, but it is too large.
This document is written specifically for using Maas360; but It should provide some insight into what you will need. You will need an Apple Enterprise Developer account. To get into this, you need a cert, and to get a cert you need to join the enterprise developer group, or use this link:to get special account just for use in IT.APNS is watching every network in the world, so to speak, just like a cellular system. Even if your managed iPads go home, or get lost, you can set them to erase by using MDM to tell APNS to wipe the iPad the next time it is on any network. (by nuking the system encryption key, it renders the device un-usable)If a person was savvy enough to steal a device and never let it back on a network, potentially you couldn't nuke it, BUT, provided you are following best practices and have passcodes on the device, the only way they could use the hardware would be to erase it and start fresh.As of yet, there isn't a documented way around Apple's encryption.Hope this helps!Andrew. You will need the APNS Cert from Apple to do the advanced OTA management of iOS devices despite no plans to develop applications for iOS. You could always strictly manage devices via integration with your email system (Exchange ActiveSync), but the APNS Cert, in conjunction with an MDM solution, provides so much more functionality that you will find useful.As a side note.
