For Fallout 3 on the PC, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'Fallout 3 crash on startup / new game COMPLETE FIX here!'

Crash

I'm having a problem when launching FO3 via FOSE and/or the Launcher. Everything will act normal even when clicking the new game option.

It will load/ Then, Crash. I do have mods but they aren't the problem since I disabled all of them to make sure. If anyone could help me on this, that will be fantastic. Kinda sucks since the GOG version fixes all of the Windows live crap issue.(Also, just an FYI, I did use to own the Steam version of FO3 and it had my old saves. Maybe that could be the problem?). Maybe that could be the problem?) It's because neither Fallout 3/NV supports a Intel GPU. If you have an Intel HD Graphics card, you gotta download the 'd3d9.dll' file and put it in your fallout 3 install directory. Guaranteed fix if you have an Intel GPU. For the file, just search youtube for 'Fallout 3 Intel gpu fix' and choose a video. Hope this helps:). Microsoft227sam: Hello there.

I was having doubts doing it was because FNV and the steam version of FO3 work flawlessly. Not sure why the GOG version wanted to be an odd fellow. Unless Gambryo is just a picky dick. Thanks, man:).

That doesnt help me any. I've purchased FO3 (for the third time) just to get it to work with Windows10 and have had no success on any of the suggestion s of Berthesda, Steam or any other forum, which seems to have the same suggestions phrased differently.

Any other suggestions other whats already out there? Otherwise my only choice is to get with tech support, make the attempt and then request a refund.NO FOSENO MODS (other than DLC)NO additions of any kind3.3Ghz ProcessorNvidia GTX 970 graphics8 gb memoryWindows 10 Home ver 1709 OS Build 16299.125.

Fallout 3 gog crash on new game

First off, Welcome to the Forums!I also have Fallout 3, it works fine on my computer, but i might know what's wrong. Your system specs need to be at the required settings for the game to work.

The same loading thing happens to me quite a bit, but i found out a way to get by it. If you have a look at you can see if your computer is good enough to run it.

Do you have another computer where you live? You could try on that computer to run it, or just lower the graphics for the game by going into the Game Options when you start the game. Hope this helps. I wouldn't trust anything automatic to update drivers. I mean, if you want you can let Windows update try. Id trust it more than anything that automatically installs drivers, but its still not perfect. You best bet is to go to the manufactures site for each piece of hardware(or if its a pre-built PC go thier site) and get all the drivers you need.Main ones will be Chipset, Graphics, Audio.Much safer.those auto scan/ DL driver things are often wrong and can, on occasion, make more problems for you. Update, well nothing has worked, was was considering buying a new video card but seeing that i am not made of money, and how having the correct system or lowering the graphics mades no differnce.

I have decided not to. However, i am going to buy a older computer to play it(i know it sounds sad and desperate) But this has been a lousy year, and i am done waiting to finish the fallout trilogy, and someone please give me and idea of what kind of pc vita or xp that i need and where i can find one relitivly cheap, Thank you to everyone that tried to help. Similar help and support threadsThreadForumSo first when I got the game (I admit I cracked it)It didn't work as it should have, by that I mean it didn't start the intro properly, it made the heart bet and the flesh sound but then nothing, I then had to start it in windowed mode, now, It always keeps crashing on me, any.GamingHi, I wanted to ask because I am getting seriously pissed off at this, but my problem is that FO3 keeps crashing on steam.

I bought the steam version of GOTY because it was on sale for £10, although the problem is that it keeps crashing, I have tried every fix possible but still doesn't fix it. Is.GamingI am trying to play my fallout 3 on my PC and whenever I try to load a new game or continue a game, as well as load, it will load for a little bit then crash. When I try to get out of a casino in New Vegas I go to the door and press 'E' to leave but then when I press 'E' it Freezes but the audio keeps going. If I go to the door and just stand there nothing happens, but.GamingI know there is already a thread for Fallout 3 but i noticed that most of the corretions for it were either for the 64 bit (i have 32 bit) version or for the game launcher. My problem is when i click yes to start a new game the loading screen comes up for antwhere between 2-5 seconds.GamingOur SitesSite LinksAbout UsFind Us.
